An Interview with the legendary, unstoppable, master of #positivian-vibes, Mr Rob GEE!

IMG 2721How do you feel to be back in Amsterdam?
I feel awesome to be back in Amsterdam! It’s like a second home to me. I love the country. I love Amsterdam. I also love some other cities and I really love the people!

What do you think of Lock & Load Radio so far?
I’m loving it. Lock and Load Radio is really incredible with all the different characters. Everyone is unique in their own way and fun. It’s professional, yet somewhat casual at the same time and it’s just a nice, happy vibe and I had a fucking blast tonight.

What can we expect from you at Decade?
From Decade next week you will definitely hear a lot of Rob Gee, and you’ll definitely hear some of my favorite songs from 1990 till 2000. But you know, it’s definitely gonna be more Rob Gee heavy. I got enough songs from 1990 till 2000 to cover it.

What was the inspiration behind Rage with Pride, your new track with Riot Squad?
I mean, the inspiration with that was you know, everyone’s out there raging and having a good time. It might just sound simple but I guess it’s really just, go out there, be yourself, and rage the fuck out. Be proud of who you are, be proud of your music – nothing that deep with that song. It’s a nice sing along jam. I love the video that we did. It was shot in New York City as well as Los Angeles, and then the on-location stuff was strictly Venice Beach, Sunset Boulevard, Pacific Coast Highway. We went Hollywood on that.

What’s next for you and for Riot Squad?
We’ve got a bunch more Riot Squad songs coming out. It might go as far as an EP, not necessarily an LP, so maybe like six songs. Eventually there will be ten Riot Squad songs, but we’ll probably do six, maybe eight at once. There might possibly be a Riot Squad album in the future, but we’re not that far ahead right now. With regards to new Rob Gee music, you will be able to go to my social media and on my Soundclound, which is therealrobgee, and you’ll be able to download my new solo Rob Gee song, which is called Right Now. It’s really cool, because the artwork is like, “go download Rob Gee Right Now” for free. It’s a little play on words. When I titled the song, that wasn’t part of it. When it went to market I was like, “go download Rob Gee Right Now” but it means do it right now, and it’s also called Right Now
